Our Mission
Transforming Lives, One Story at a Time
Uhuru Freedom School of Drama Management is an extraordinary non-governmental organization (NGO) that firmly believes in the transformative power of theater. We are driven by the conviction that theater has the potential to foster understanding, empathy, and compassion among individuals and communities.
Advocate for social justice
Our mission extends beyond the realm of theater. We actively collaborate with other organizations and practitioners to advocate for social justice, diversity, and inclusion within the theater industry and society at large. We strive to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and create platforms for their stories to be heard.
Nurture compassion
We recognize the importance of empathy and compassion in building a more compassionate society. Through the power of storytelling, we aim to evoke emotional responses and create connections between audience members and the characters portrayed on stage. By fostering compassion, we hope to inspire action and positive change.
Educate and Train
At the core of our mission is the belief that theoretical storytelling can amplify the impact and relevance of theater. Through our training programs, we equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and theoretical understanding necessary to excel in the theater industry. We aim to empower storytellers who can create performances that challenge societal norms.
